So, of late I've taken to watching this show called Tru Calling. It's kinda interesting, though not realy extraordinary in any way. Except, well, there's this certain weirdness to it. See, Tru Davies, played by Eliza Dushku, works the night shift at a morgue. Sometimes, a recently-brought-in dead body will ask her for help, then she'll wake up that morning and relive the day, having just that day to save the people. So far, so good, but she asks her boss at the morgue for a lot of information. And it's kinda weird, the information he gives her. Like one conversation in the 4th episode, which went something like this:
Tru: "Say, what do you know about a poison called [weird chemical name]?"
Davis: "Well, off the top of my head, it's always lethal and fairly quick-acting, it's soluble in water, and the antidote is pretty hard to find. Oh, and if you administer it with alcohol, it's untraceable. Does that help?"
Just a slight "WTF?" moment there, really.
